We have three designs in ultra-fine 100% pashmina: our brand-new Slava Ukraini in the Ukrainian national colors, the striped Diversity Pride and the ultra-chic diamond-weave Pumori, which is available in a wide range of colors.
Our Slava Ukraini and Diversity Pride shawls are available only in what we call medium size, which is the international standard these days: 71 by 203 cm (28 by 80 inches).
The Pumori is also available in what we call full size: 90 by 203 cm (36 by 80 inches).
Because the yarn is so fine, the fringe is provided in natural finish (aka ragged or eyelash finish, rather than knotted tassels.
All of these ultra-fines are handloomed with 54/1 count pure pashmina (i.e. cashmere) yarn. The numerical notation indicates that the yarn is single-ply (as opposed to two or more threads twisted together) and that one kilo of one ply would stretch out to 54 kilometers in length. That's about twice as far as the 28/1 yarn in our Sagarmathas. The threads in superfine fabric are packed much closer than those in our other pure pashmina weaves, resulting in lighter -- some would say more elegant -- shawls than the heavier yarn, without sacrificing warmth.
Because the yarn can be broken more easily under the stress of looming, and because the desired density requires many more shuttle swipes per shawl, production entails more hours of higher-paid labor. And those higher production costs mean higher prices to you. Sorry.
Sunrise Pashmina stands with Ukraine.
In solidarity with the freedom fighters, we offer our stunning Slava Ukraini shawl.
To ensure broadest possible distribution of this partisan declaration, we have priced the shawl at $85. The entire profit, $17 per shawl, will go to support the work of José Andrés' humanitarian World Central Kitchen, which is doing vital work in the war zone, in European refugee centers and in other disaster areas around the world.
Available only in our so-called "medium size" (which is currently the industry standard), the shawl measures 71 by 203 cm (28 by 80 inches). It is hand-loomed in the finest 54/1 gauge 100% cashmere yarn and printed with color-fast dyes in the hues of the Ukrainian flag which symbolize amber fields of wheat under azure skies.
Our gorgeous striped Diversity Pride is handwoven in the same superfine (54/1 count) 100% pashmina fabric as the Pumori, but without the diamond weave. The colors correspond (in a subtle way, due to the black weft) to those of the iconic Diversity Pride flag.
The real Pumori, a football-shaped peak in the spectacular cirque surrounding Everest Base Camp. This photo is taken from Kala Pattar, Pumori's southeast ridge, at a position from which in 1951 Eric Shipton and Ed Hillary spotted a viable route to the summit of Everest.

Pumori is our name for what the Nepali producers refer to as superlight or diamond weave. Inconceivably light, warm, and soft. Perfect for a night at the opera, or walk a by the beach. Supremely elegant and totally functional.
The famous diamond-weave is like a subtle watermark. Viewed from arm's length, the pattern is hardly noticeable -- as in the Jade Cream wrap that Empar is wearing in the photo at the top of the page. Close-up, and photoshopped with enhanced contrast, as in the image of the Dark Green shawl below, the pattern is distinctive.
Despite the somewhat gauzy look (especially under flash lighting), the shawls are amazingly warm. They are light enough to be worn as a scarf without seeming bulky -- in fact, they are often worn two at a time.
