Pashmina is cashmere, woven from the undercoat of the Himalayan goat, Capra hircus laniger. Our products are pure pashmina (for utmost in warmth and softness), or pashmina blended with silk (for better drape, elegant sheen, and tighter weave).

Sunrise Pashmina is a small family business based in Kathmandu, Nepal. We sell only top quality pashmina wraps, hand-crafted to your specifications. We offer gorgeous embroidery, two-tone ombre dying, jacquard, beading -- in sizes ranging from the neat little muffler to the all-embracing fullsize shawl. Also baby blankets.

You're the designer!

You choose the fabric, the size, the customizaton. In virtually any color you might want... except bright white, which can't be produced without damaging the fiber.

Local technology, local prices

Our prices are low. We don't have a store or a lot of employees. We don't maintain a huge inventory. We have a crew of talented weavers, and we engage independent embroiderers, dyers, and beaders who are among the best craftspeople in Nepal. As soon as an order comes in, we grab the woven products from stock, rush them to the dyer, then the embroiderer and beader if necessary, wrap everything up and ship it out.

We're fast, too. If you're looking for a simple shawl, we can have it dyed and shipped to you by DHL in about a week. Embroidery adds about a week.
